Whining
So, my stupid ass didn't get into bed until 2 am last night, and I think I may have undercooked the chicken we had for dinner-- from about 2:30 on Ethan had me up every hour, either because of nightmares or because his stomach was bothering him. He kept feeling like he needed to throw up but couldn't, poor baby.  Thankfully around 6 am I turned it over to Brad, who was also complaining of some stomach pains. I'm fine, though. Maybe I'm just more resistant to salmonella.

I love Facebook, as it has put me back in contact with three of my very favorite people.

Today includes straining out the chicken stock I've had cooking in the crock pot for the last 15 hours (speaking of which-- how do you all keep  your stock? Do you freeze it? I normally do, but I'm looking for advice on good containers to freeze in-- too often my stock ends up with freezerburn) cleaning the house, reading 200 pages of Moby Dick and another 200  of Sense and Sensibility. Ugh.

All I really want to do is write; I technically need to anyway as I have another story submission due next Sunday and I'm not sure what I'm submitting just yet.  That's probably going to have to get put off for a couple of days, though, as I'm deep in the shit as far as schoolwork goes at the moment.

Later we may take the Nut to the pumpkin patch, depending on when Brad gets back from shooting with the boys.

What's  up on your Sunday?

I am hopelessly addicted to Facebook as well. Damn D&D Tiny Adventures and Space Raiders. *grumble*

Between unpacking and cleaning up (my house has been a disaster for weeks now and I am sick of it) I have had my nose in various book involving the Torque Engine. I am going to start working on my RPG soon, and need to familiarize myself with the inner workings of the engine. While I am really starting to feel confortable with programming, I know I am nowhere near ready to actually create my own game engine, especially one that does 3D.

Thanks for the advice on the BOB books. Ling is reading them with no problems, and I am about to order the next couple of sets. She astounds me daily!

Awesome. The Bob books are *great*, aren't they? They're short enough without being too short, and the pictures are cute without being distracting.

I'm really surprised that I like Facebook-- MySpace was a clusterfuck I never enjoyed. Facebook is like MySpace for adults.

Also, it seems to me you spend an inordinate amount of your life packing and unpacking things :)

How did the quitting go over? Any blowback or were they fine with it?

No one called me, and my last check was direct deposited. Nothing. No worries. I had only been there for a month, so it isn't like they grew to love me or something. lol

I do spend a lot of time packing and unpacking. We signed a 3 year lease for this one, so we can't just move (and if we wanted to, it would piss off the MIL).

MySpace is supposed to be getting applications now, but all I did on that thing was blog (and I hardly did that) and look at pics of the same 15 or so folks. Boring.

At least with Facebook I get these silly little apps to keep me alive. Heh.

I do need to update my pics though.

I need to update my pics, too. My digital camera broke about 5 months ago though and I have yet to get a new one. I swear Ethan is going to think we hated him because we have basically no pictures of him from the last year.

My sunday was full of minor league hockey, beer, and making eyes at a cute waitress in an English expat bar in Hannover.

How you been?

I've been good, really. This semester is pretty excruciating, but at least I adore every class I'm taking-- there are no "bad" ones-- so that helps. Doesn't make it less painful, though.

I'll def. look you up on facebook.
